Anyone do Amigurami?

Recommended Posts

Me! I love it, but can only do it in a quiet room as there is a lot of counting involved. I have made several elephants (3 grey and one multi colour stripes), an Ewok, an otter, covers for baubles, and something else which I can't remember right now. Oh, a secret santa gift *shh* Stitch markers are a must as the rows aren't the same as for when you do a blanket for eg. The stitches are very basic usually sc or dc with increases and decreases. Once you get the hang of it, you'll have a folder full of things to make like, erm, me  I love doing them as the results are very quick and I usually have a cute little creature in a couple of hours :D

I do Amigurumi !! Love it, but have to use bits of coloured wool to mark the beginning of each round. Basically you are working a tubular spiral - that you shape by increasing & decreasing. I made some cherries, a ball with eyes, an egg & lots of Kaiwaii Japanese style softies. I'm working on Flora bunnies ( greedy for colour blog) for Easter.

I haven't seen that book ! Wowee, it looks good!
