donald
Can anyone tell me is it possible to track or watch the movements of an i phone? I work part time and even on my days off answer my phone but have been told we are to have the track facility in case the phone gets lost/company property. I dont mind having it on my working days but am reluctant to take it out with me in future on my days off anymore so will leave it at home as I guess the company will use it to monitor employee movements? I dont see why I should let anyone know if I am out of my house etc It just seems a bit big brother. Is it possible to track an i phone? I think they can but not sure Thank you
snowberry
I know that they can pinpoint a phone where its last call was made from (satelittes), but I don't think it's legal to 'track' a phone, I would be interested if someone could clarify this
Geoid
Is it possible to track an i phone? I think they can but not sure Yes, very easily, the iPhone comes with built in software so you can track it if lost/stolen. But you can turn it off under Settings > Location Services > Find my iPhone and select off
Bantambabe
My friend has just learned this the hard way. She's splitting with her hubby and he set her phone to be able to check where she was. We soon changed that! Have changed the pin number on her phone so he can't fiddle with it and turned of f the location service.
bigmommasally
This was a very useful feature for my niece when she lost her phone on the school playing field in the snow My brother used it to pinpoint her phone and they found where it had got buried
Cinnamon
Does anyone know if HTC Android phones have this feature - it would be handy to keep an eye on the teenager
Bantambabe
I've got a Motorola Android phone and with that you can use location services - it's really useful if you're meeting someone and if you both have Android phones you can see each other on the map of your phone, so find your way towards each other. But both phones have to have enabled it.
The Dogmother
Does anyone know if HTC Android phones have this feature - it would be handy to keep an eye on the teenager My HTC has this feature but last time I looked the online facility to track it wasn't working. Donald, I doubt that they'd go to the bother of using it to track each and every employee - they are probably just reminding of the service to keep any slackers in line. I guess that if an employee is suspected of skiving then they'd make use of it.
