Has anyone got any easy... and I mean EASY knitting patterns for a jumper or cardigan that they can post or link to for free?

 

I am very very much a beginner knitter, so nothing that needs any complex techniques or stitch holders or circular needles, as that is beyond my skills right now!!

Have you joined Ravelry yet?

If not, do it now!

You can search by type of pattern and ease, so first choose knitting or crochet, then search by pattern type, ie jumpers, then narrow it down again to search only patterns suitable for beginners, and again for free or chargeable patterns.

I'm just attempting a jumper from my Chicks with Sticks book, but once I'm finished maybe we can do a knit along on a Cardy?

 

Chrissie it would be fabulous if you joined the knit along

 

I'm hoping to have finished my jumper by the end of the weekend (she says in hope ) so I could start a new knit along thread with the pattern

 

What do you think? How do you propose we do the knit along Cathy?

Ooooh, cardy, I need it to be chunky, very chunky, and easy, or I won't finish it, lol

 

I've never done a knit along before, but I think that everyone gets the pattern, and the yarn, of their colour choice, then we all start on the same day (give or a take a little) and we post pictures of our progress.

 

Does that sound right to everyone

 

We could do a scarf, or a dishcloth to try it out...

Nice free pattern, with optional collar depending on skill level.

 

I may follow the style but vary the stitch
