Topiary question for a 70th birthday pressie

Recommended Posts

Any one know the best place to get a topiary shape from for my Dad's 70th birthday.

I saw a lovely one at a garden centre today shaped like a flower with a leaf - and it was really nice - but it cost a staggering 195 pounds.

I was after something a bit more exciting than a ball or a spiral but don't know where to go.

Any ideas would most welcome.

Thanks xx

Have you looked in local garden centres? My local garden centre sells smaller topiary cages, with the hedge within - not quite grown enough to be snipped to shape yet, but a project for the summers to come - I got one for my 79 year old father for his birthday earlier this year. They even had chicken and duck ones :D

Oooo dear, have been really extravagant and went back to the garden centre to get the flower

I have learnt from previous mistakes about not getting things when I see them, and I couldn't find anything else like it on the internet.

But I'm going to split the price with my mum and my sister............now I just need to find him some snippers.
