Space Chick
Hadn't tried knitting in the round before... Other than a neckline on a jumper. I have this lovely chenille wool but it's not enough to knit a jumper, so I thought I'd knit a camisole instead and try in the round. Big mistake despite my best efforts to ensure "no twists" I have had to unravel it TWICE as I had a twist, meaning it would be impossible to wear. Now given up and am doing the front and back separately Just hope I can do clever calculations with the wool to ensure it works (have 4 balls but 2 colours ) Wish me luck... Mrs Webmuppet
I have a top tip for knitting in the round.................knit the first few rows as straight knitting then join it up, you don't get twists that way! I love knitting on circular needles, I've knitted a fair few jumpers ( those fancy Icelandic patterned ones) and socks using this method. Paola
I always seem to mess up the first row every time but when I start the second time it goes ok Its worth persevering I use gorgeous Symfonie wooden circular needles
craftyhunnypie
the times I have thrown my circulars across the room! I always get twists & not too sure on how to do the join. Ahh well, thank god for normal straight knitting. Emma.x
