What to do next

I thought I wouldn't have any more questions once the chicks had hatched but now I seem to have more questions, so apologies for being so stupid but please bare with me.

The chicks hatched yesterday and I had had the chicken house door shut whilst this happened but I have opened it today (should i have opened it already?) as I thought Belle may want to go out and poo, but she has had other ideas and has done about 4 huge poos around the house - in the nesting area, near the food etc etc which I have cleaned up as it stinksand is very messy! I'm assuming this is because she's eating again and drinking and therefore it's got to come out somewhere!

My questions are- will she eventually go out to do the poo? I'm guessing she's not happy going too far from the chicks right now or about taking them outside (her run is covered on the top and one side and the other side has a small summer shade setup but the wind is blowing) shes got to get used to them - is this right? Should I keep the house door shut today as well?

I've got a small bowl of food and water set up in the house - should I have it in the house (there is also some in the run) - I'm guessing it's adding to her problem of pooing in the house but am worrying the wind and drizzle will make the chicks cold! And she's not very good at walking about - she moves a tiny bit then sits down for them.

When should she be happy going in and out of the run? I wish it was warm like yesterday as I wouldn't be worrying but it's cold and wet today and the chicks are sooooo tiny

I'm really sorry these sound such stupid questions - I'm just worrying I'm not now looking after them properly or I'm being too over the top or not enough - does any of this make sense?

Thank you x

I'd clean up and leave the door open.

She will take the chicks for their first outing in a day or two. Leave it all to her, she knows what she is doing.

I'd make sure that the chicks can't escape from the run, through the weld mesh. I usually lay planks down along the length and end of the run if I am raising chicks in an Eglu.

I looked at this before but it's for the classic and I have the go so wasn't sure it would fit?

Belle is being a brilliant mum - calling them over for food, making sure they are all there and warm x very lovely to see xx :D
