Noisey new girls

Recommended Posts

My 2 new girls are so noisey. Also Sharona sounds like a duck. ES cocky devil said " bet you've got a boy by mistake mwah mwah mwah" :shameonu: Mum not impresssed. Definately both girls as one is laying litte eggs and Sharona is starting to bob down so I am right in assuming boys dont do this? I dont want a boy as I live in a built up area and want eggs.

really stressing about the noise now. the commotion this am all over an egg being laid was horrendous. I was down the bottom of our garden which backs onto a drive where the people behind have their garages and I could here talking - paranoia setting in. i told oH I think might have to rehome Sharona. Shes POl but not quite laying yet.

My Girls can make a right racket, Marigold laid her first recently and they all carried on for ages.

They have now settled down again.

I wouldn't worry too much about the noise. I have a couple of Magpies that I am trying to scare away, they have been waiting for the blue tits to leave home, so we arnt happy with them, and they make a right racket.

The next doors dog sounds like he smokes 40 a day and continually barks, and yesterday, all day, someone had an extremly noisy power something going on.

There are much worse noises about than your girls, (Its when they start shouting at 4.00am - then you need to try and cover them up)

before i got my 4 girls I was going crazy thinking the noise would be a nuisance to my neighbours, who moan about EVERYTHING!! Surprisingly they make very little noise, could be though that only one is laying at the moment. We've had low flying aircraft, lawnmowers, dogs and a whole host of other birds, but still hardly hear the girls.

I would persevere with it as it could just be a lot of excitement in the beginning and they are trying to outdo each other as to who can make the biggest noise.
