AJuff
My children would like to buy their dad a photo frame for Father's Day. They would like to put all the photos of them and their dad on it from 2003 onwards and share lots of laughs. How would I get photos off the computer and onto a photo frame? Memory pen? Also can you make it play photos by date? Any suggestions for easy to use frames?
C&T
Bought one for inlaws for same reason a short while ago. Great idea! My tips are buy the most expensive one you can afford. The quality of the picture will be so much better. Also check whether they will take Memory Sticks or memory cards. We bought one with a memory card, as our PC has a slot for them, so could move the pictures directly from the PC to the card. Really easy! Just move the card to the frame, switch on, and off it goes! The frames rarely come with a card or stick, (or they will be a very small capacity) so you will need to buy one seperately. Buy the largest one you can find! The reviews on Amazon are really useful - reading those give you a good idea on their ease of use etc. I am not sure about the order of the pictures... soapdragon
These really are great ! Ours has a memory stick slot so you ust load from the comp and stick in the stick! Good advice to buy the best you can afford! Dad will love it
munkee1965
My kids bought me and OH one for our wedding anniversary last year. It has a memory stick which I just transfer the photos to and then put it in the frame. I love it and it's on all the time. Buy the best you can afford. I think the one I've got is a Sandstream or something like that and the picture quality is really good.
Snowy
OH bought me a Panasonic one for christmas - it's rubbish! The good thing is that it uses a memory card - move the pics you want onto the card and put it into the photoframe. I got an 8gb card from play.com and there is loads of space on it. It plays the pics in order of date, which is a bit annoying as I'd like to be able to play them at random as well. Mine is the Panasonic MW10 which is also supposed to play CDs and has an ipod dock and is supposed to play music videos and show the album graphics while it plays. It doesn't charge the ipod while it plays and it isn't compatible with my ipod touch so doesn't show the album covers It also starts humming after a while which is really annoying. Pearls007
Mine (Kodak I think) was a present from OH at Christmas. You can email photos to it which is great. But it does mean the the kids take photos on the ipad - distort them - and then give me a shock when they appear in the frame!
