craftyhunnypie
Woohoo! We have a ram coming in August!! That means lambs next year with a bit of luck! Sheep being sheared next week. So will hopefully have some fleece to spin. Pigs also coming soon, just haven't arranged when yet. Pig pen/ paddock & ark all ready. Oh & some other animals that I'm keeping under wraps until the haylage is done. Grass is well ready for cutting - so won't be long at all. That will get you guessing! Redwing
Thats good news, will you keep him separate for a while? if you put him in with the ewes in August you will have lambs in the worst weather We are keeping Kilo back as our ram this year, he will go in with the ewes in November
craftyhunnypie
Yes he will have his own area, we're not daft! He'll only be able to eye up his girls from a distance...he can do his courting later in the year. Emma.x
Lewis
I was going to mention Lambing dates too If he's sectioned off but the girls can see him he works as a teaser and they start to cycle so should take quicker - can use chalk or a raddle to see if he's doing his job too, then swap colours after 3 weeks to see if he has another go, which means they didn't take the first time round!
