Unsecure chicken perches

Saw these and thought the pictures were very cute so I wanted to share them with you

The mother cat decided to have her kittens in the chicken coop, only to have them stolen by a broody hen (I think this must have been after some time, looking at the kittens). Apparently she then refused to let the cat near her kittens before eventually sharing (third picture down). The owners removed the hen (who kicked up a fuss, as anyone who has experienced a broody hen will know). The cat was left in peace with her kittens and moved them to a safer place )

 

The broody also went on to have chicks of her own This album is of the kittens now and the broody with her own chicks.

I wonder if the broody stole the kittens or mama cat decided she wanted a baby sitter! It looks like the cat mother is in photo #3 snuggled up to the rest!
