Olly
I know this roundabout was mentioned on the Forum a while ago - just read this item about it.
clucker1
What about this? http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dorking+cockerel&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=aLaKUIvCG6ej0QWJ5IGYBQ&ved=0CDQQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=567 page one of the pics. He was beautifully adorned during the Olympics and now wears Bradney side burns (Wiggins). Our local knit and natter group made them. Looney
Lovely idea to have statues I used to drive around that roundabout a few years ago and always loved to see the chickens
superkitty
Our new house (we completed on it yesterday) is about 2 minutes from chicken roundabout. Everyone still calls it chicken roundabout even though there haven't been chickens on it for yonks
The Dogmother
That's a lovely idea, I really missed the cocks when we drove past.
WitchHazel
That is fantastic. The demise of the real chickens on the roundabout was very sad. I can thoroughly recommend the book "Chicken Roundabout" by Tom Honeywood. I bought it to give to one of my grandchildren as a present, but I read it and kept it for myself. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/tomhoneywood/book.html Actually, I might email Tom and suggest that he looks at turning it into an Ebook... The Dogmother
Whenever we drove past there, Rosie would insist on driving round the roundabout a few times.
Janty
I drive over chicken roundabout each day on my to and from work. I miss seeing the chickens so a statue would be lovely.
