suebee
Hello everyone, I've been feeling guilty for not posting for ages...(moving house, living in a caravan whilst renovating, having to rehome my old chooks, getting new chooks at new house........... the excuses are endless) So I thought I had better re-introduce myself, and my chooks I'm suebee, living in North Lincolnshire now, with my (long suffering) OH, and my three Faverolles ladies, pictured below. The photos were taken in summer, when their beards were clean It took me ages to convince them to 'pose' for the camera The girls, enjoying a scrum on the lawn... (yes I still have one!) And this is lovely Lizzie, who's so pretty... They're far too pale for 'proper' Favs, but I love them anyway of course!

Cheeky Chooky
Awww lovely girls I love Favs but unfortunately had to rehome my 2 with a friend as they were ridiculously noisy and I live in a built-up area. My friend lives on the edge of a Village and they're as happy as Larry...and as loud

suebee
Awww. Thank you all for your kind remarks.... I'll pass them on to the ladies.. cheeky chooky, I'm amazed you had to rehome Favs cos of the noise... Mine are the quietest of chooks, only ever making a din when they came into lay, and couldn't decide whether the nest box met with their exacting requirements Just shows... as has been said before... It's all down to personality, and not necessarily breeds. I was just commenting to OH tonight, after I'd taken the ladies' evening nosh to them, (ooh... is that a mash... for us???... How lovely!)... about how undemanding they are, (bless 'em), compared to our last lot, who would begin a chorus of... 'why are we waiting'... every evening an hour before bedtime... You could set the clock by 'em. Those madams used to make me cringe with anticipation of neighbourly complaints! Anyway, I'm enjoying getting involved with this lovely forum once more..... Cheers all
