I am afraid my Kindle Fire has been returned

 

It unfortunately really hurt my eyes after reading it for a while,& as its main purpose is as a reader,that is something I just couldn't live with.

Sad,its a nice little thing,but the rest of its functions my phone can do anyhow.

I found it heavy too. Ah well,back to e-ink for me!

Im not surprised, its just a tablet, which are a pain to read books etc on.

I just can't decide between a Kindle Paperwhite and a Nook .

 

Can you borrow books from your local library for a Kindle? My library website seems to say not.

No but Amazon have their own library system for Amazon Prime members - i think they have quite a big selection of books available that way as well as being able to purchase.

From what I have read about the Nook,there can be a 'blank' spot in the center of the page,as the lighting is around the edge.

Personally I like being with Amazon too - with such a vast selection of books at your fingertips,it seems to me the easiest way to go

I've just admitted to OH that I'm considering getting one for him. Just as well I did, he says he doesn't want one .

 

Oh well, now I know what I'll be getting (myself) for Christmas .
