I don't think it's really quite sunk in just yet, but it is an incredible feeling waking up each morning and knowing where I'm going to be for my placement and knowing that it's finally in the process of being sorted.

 

I'm mostly going to be looking at the applications of DNA barcoding of plants, but am not sure what type of project I'll be involved in just yet, but I get to do a variety of things, from labwork, to scientific communication, report writing and field trips etc. If you want to find out more info about the place check out the website-I highly recommend you visit, as the place is so beautiful!
