A White Star,because they are scatty,mad & lay HUGE white eggs

A Skyline,the last they had,for the blue eggs & because they are so pretty

A Speckledy,because we haven't had one in the flock for years & they are sweet

 

then

 

A Blue Belle. I swore that I would never get another after I lost my last 2,but she just waddled over, stood & looked at us....

A Red hen of some sort because she was the last red hen there & I do like a red hen

And a Sussex Hybrid,because the Husband fell for her & said she had a nice face.

 

That now gives me a flock of 11 - hope they can all squeeze into the Cube ok at night!

Congratulations on being so controlled I am off to buy 2 new girls on Saturday ,my OH says I have to restrained as we have more chicken controlled space now than garden

LOL That sounds like my last Hen Buying Went to get 2 and ended up with 4 and no matter how many times I tell OH the 2 bantums = 1 Hen he wont have it

 

Id love a blue egg layer but I think 7 girls is enough I need to see how we get on in the summer as its the first time I have had so many, we go away Saturdays in the summer and come home on Sundays so hoping and praying mine will get up eat and not make too much noise

It was very nice,the chap was very friendly & helpful,plus he is the head bird keeper in Beale park,so must know his stuff!
