Is anybody else as daft as me? I quite often have to have a cuddle with my Border Terrier Ziggy. She is 4 now but even so - when I have a cuddle I can still smell a sort of puppy smell to the top of her head. Also - some days we have a little singing session. I read that Border Terriers if in a pack will "sing". So - I start singing to her and once i get to a certain pitch she puts her head back and joins in.

Aww . Riley is about 14 and I still cuddle him daily .

Lots of cuddles in this house too. No singing though, if I start singing Tango looks at me like I'm from Mars. I swear she'd put her paws over her ears if she could!

That made me laugh. I am sure Neela would do the same if she could. I do sing to her and now I must find the right note to see if she will join in I say right note, any note I can hit is a miracle as I just cannot sing But I do hug her lots

Having 2 Border Terriers, we know the 'singing' well The puppy smell is long gone it's digestive biscuits (especially their paws!) and hoover bag smell now As for cuddles...the pair of them get snorgled daily

I've never met a soppier breed than a BT I live next door to 3 (ie 2 and 1 on each side of our house )and I swear they spend more time on the sofa wrapping their owners around their little paws than ever a cat did In fact, if I can't get hold of an orpington, a poland or a cat I will regularly be found carrying a heavier and hairier bundle about

 

One set of owners are amateur opera singers - I will have to ask about the singing

Plenty of hugs and kisses and talking silly in this house too. I kiss them goodbye when I leave for work and kiss them again when I return too, in fact I have been known to tell one I love them only for hubs to overhear and say I love you too..... Yes yes dear.

haha thanks everyone - thought it was just me who was soppy. Borders definately sing. Just before Xmas I was practising carols as i was singing some solos for a village do (I am a trained opera singer - but prefer Rock music!) As soon as I started Ziggy joined in. I was laughing so much I had to stop the rehearsals.

If only I could put one on here. I have tried numerous times to post photos and shabby chic even sent me instructions. I tried to work my way through them but the computer wouldnt cooperate
