Lavenders_Blue
I'm after a new harness for Tango. She's been wearing an EzyDog chest plate harness for the last year which I've been reasonably happy with, but the webbing is starting to fray and wear through now and I don't feel happy about her wearing it for too much longer. I don't want to replace it with another EzyDog, as there's a couple of things about the harness which irritate me, the first being that it slides around, so the D-ring on top often ends up halfway to her shoulder. The other annoying thing is that the buckle around her girth is right behind her front leg, especially when the harness spins round, which I don't think is ideal. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a nice comfy harness? The fleecy Dog Games harnesses looks good, but I don't want one that goes over the head ideally, as Tango doesn't particularly like things going over her head. I'd buy one if it was the most comfy option though. The Dog Games perfect fit harnesses have a neck clip, but from what I can see on their website, all the buckles are right behind the dogs' front legs which is what I am trying to avoid! Julius K9 look like they might fit well but do look terribly bulky and I'm not sure whether they leave enough room for the shoulder to move freely (which is important for a dog who loves to run!). Any thoughts on the two harnesses above, or any other suggestions?

Chucky Mama
Clix Car Safe Harnesses are fab I have heard that they are good too but don't know how they fit.
Lavenders_Blue
Clix was the very first harness I bought for Tango. Unfortunately it goes over the head. The girth straps also used to loosen themselves and eventually Tango chewed her way through the strap snapping the harness in half!
Chucky Mama
Ah scratch that then
Cheeky Chooky
Our 2 Border Terriers still have their Clix Safe Harnesses and they're in perfect condition I guess it's just going to be a case of trial and error with Tango
Lavenders_Blue
I went into the local pet shop today just to see what they had. They actually had a really good range including the fleecy Dog Games harness that I thought I had discounted... but I tried one on her and it fitted like a dream So I'm just going to have to get her used to having it put on over her head with some tasty treats. Thanks for the suggestions anyway everyone, even if I do have the one peculiar dog who doesn't seem to get on with the Clix harness
The Dogmother
I use the Mekuti balance harness on Ruby as it fits her well and has a d-ring at the front for using a double-ended lead; this helps her to be more mindful about how's she's walking and keeps her attention on me. It's the T-Touch one.
Lavenders_Blue
I did have a look at that one online actually, DM. It looks like a nice harness and I might have been tempted to try it if the pet shop hadn't stocked the Dog Games harness. I liked the fact you could also order it with a neck clip so it doesn't have to go over the head. Interestingly, since the weekend when we've had the fleecy harness, Tango seems to be less nervous and barky while we're out walking, so maybe it has the effect of working as a body wrap too? (Or maybe it's just my imagination!)
The Dogmother
That's possible, head halters have a similar effect as a face wrap.
sparkysmum
A bit late I know, but just thought I'd add that we have had a fleecy Dog Games harness for Daisy our yorkie since she was a tiny puppy. She is 4yrs now and have only had two in all that time. As you will have found they are soft, dont chafe, and seem to last forever. I'm sure you will love it. Lavenders_Blue
Thanks sparkysmum, I'm really pleased with it so far. It's been through the wash twice already (gotta love this mud and rain) and it's washed up brilliantly too.
