Chicken deficient

apple cider vinegar dose

Recommended Posts

I put in 4 tablespoons, (15ml), in a classic sized glug and they seem to be quite happy drinking it. The bottle says that you can drink it neat with honey as a tonic! Maybe I'll try that another time!

There are aparently loads of health benefits to having this is taken from a facebook page of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR is a powerful detoxifying and purifying agent. It breaks down fatty, mucous deposits within the body. By breaking down these substances it improves the health and function of the vital organs of the body, such as the kidneys, bladder and liver, by preventing excessively alkaline urine. It also helps to thin out the blood, which is important in helping to prevent high blood pressure. Apple Cider Vinegar also promotes digestion, assimilation and elimination, all the while neutralizing any toxic substances that enter the body. Apple cider vinegar has been found to kill any harmful bacteria that may be found in certain foods. When a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water is taken before a meal (particularly food served in restaurants or at picnics where the preparation or duration of food left uncovered and not refrigerated is questionable), it seems to prevent diarrhea or digestive upsets.

Anyway I bought some from Holland and Barrett I managed to take it for 2 days its rather vile tasting stuff

That would be interesting - thanks. I read a few things about the best acv for chickens being raw, organic, unfiltered and 'with the mother', which the one I bought is, but you never know who writes these things you find on the internet!

If you google it, you will find that the general consensus of opinion across the board, is that greater benefit is achieved with the unfiltered stuff with the 'mother' in it. There are even recipes for making it yourself, by chicken keepers.

Horsey folk use it also, and this is often the cheapest way of acquiring it... from the horsey suppliers. This will be the proper stuff, with the goodness left in it, as opposed to the stuff we're supposed to consume, with the goodness extracted... (as ever... just think refined sugar... white flour... etc..etc.)..... dismounts from soap box...
