Hi, has anyone got a vegetable Spiraliser? I'm thinking of buying one and wondering if they are any good?

It's been sitting in my kitchen draw, unused, for at least 4 years so - yes you're welcome to have it!

 

I have no idea how good it is, but if you find it's rubbish you can always upgrade to a better model.

 

ETA - I've just Googled vegetable spiraliser and mine looks NOTHING like as fancy as any of the pictures I've seen. Probably why it was a freebie! Anyway, it's up to you if you want to try it and see how you get on with it.

My daughter in law in Australia has one. Spiralled apples skewered and dipped in batter and fried are a big thing at get togethers over there. They are also used to spiral potatoes which are then skewered and deep fried. I saw several commercial stalls at an Easter Egg Hunt doing fantastic business with these.

 

Personally, I think they must have more free time over there....

Ta da! Thanks L_B it was a lovely surprise when I got home! It's a beautifully simple bit of kit. It did amuse me to see the spirals coming off.
