Chickens from Omlet

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if you can collect chickens direct from Omlet ie pick them up from their shop in Oxfordshire or whereever it is. I was thinking this would knock off the delivery fee if I can tie it up with doing something that way, perhaps a trip to a garden centre which is supposed to be amazing near them. Can't remember what it is called though. Or could get OH to collect them on way back from a meeting up north.

Thanks for that OhCarolina. A friend of mine tried that chicken supplier a couple of times several years ago and turned up twice for an appointment and there was never anyone there. So, good to get some positive feedback. I am specifically after pepperpot type girls. My present Omlet one is 3 years old, still laying well at the moment and I just want to look at topping up sometime this Summer. I really love the colours of the pepperpot. I have used Southmead Poultry for other new chickens to my flock, just very impressed with how beautiful and fabulous the Omlet pepperpots are though.

Hybrid chickens will have come from a company that rears chickens on an industrial scale and there will be literally tens of thousands of these for sale all around the UK under different 'brand' names and they shouldnt be hard to find, Try Surrey Poultry perhaps, they are Omlet forum members so will probably be familiar with the Pepperpot

The last time I went to the Omlet HQ they did have chickens on site so I guess in theory its probably possible to collect but best give them a call to ask

Thank youboth for that. My Pepperpot had me in stitches this afternoon, she is so so nosy. She is Headgirl and always wants to know what I am doing on HER land. I mean, just clearing the poo away, but the LOOK I get, you would think it is a criminal offence! Must try Surrey Poultry, had forgotten about them. One of my customers recommended them to me as well.
