redfrock
as a first egg that must have been thrilling! The photo is fab. I think we must have some super-hens out there we had one a while back - we had a 5 yolk, 2 egg omlette. Poor chook - think she needed a rest after that (it was our white star ). Carmen on the other hand lays a double yolk every time without fail. It's very exciting isn't it - never knowing what will be inside these 'presents'
mountainboarddude
i once had an egg with no yolk
Couperwife
isnt it exciting (eggciting ) waiting to see what you will get, that triple yolker was amazing the one with no yolk we once had one with a soft shell and no white - it was weird (put it in the bin - didnt think about cooking it for the chooks at that time)
beach chick
my oldest appeared with a softie the other day, kind of hanging in her fingers rather disgustingly, and said "Mummy, is this an egg??" afraid I kind of screeched and we chucked it - didnt know you could cook them for the hens, isnt that kind of cannibalistic? or is it good for them?
