Cate in NZ
OK, I'm in the mood to party Schools have finally broken up around here, daughter finished at 2pm today (son actually broke up on friday) and they're free for the summer. So, no more early starts for me, no school uniform laundry, no fighting over homework and computers . Additionally I've just had the week from hell, both personal and professional crises, and hubby's been ultra busy at work with a major case that's blown up so he's been absent without leave. Even when he's been here his mind's been elsewhere if you know what I mean. But things are pretty much coming together and sorting themselves out and I'm feeling great.............. despite the rain It is summer after all So I've been down to celebrations and opened up the bar and am willing to drink myself silly whilst singing Hotel California all by myself, but it'd be more fun if we could all kick our shoes off, let our hair down and celebrate summer

Welcome Kate, it's anything you like because I really don't have a great singing voice despite giving it my all. Tina C
Where is Andrew when you need him? I shouldn't really be here as I am supposed to be working (got to get some reports out before I go off to the Lake District on Saturday - no chance of working during the day with a 6 year old around). I have opened the red - just the one for me though.

starboyhull
Andy sings, in his best singing voice Let me be your hero Would you dance If I asked you to dance? Would you run And never look back? Would you cry If you saw me crying? And would you save my soul, tonight? Would you tremble If I touched your lips? Would you laugh? Oh please tell me this. Now would you die For the one you loved? Hold me in your arms, tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. Would you swear That you'll always be mine? Or would you lie? would you run and hide? Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? I don't care... You're here tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. Oh, I just want to hold you. I just want to hold you. Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind? Well I don't care... You're here tonight. I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain. I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. I can be your hero. I can kiss away the pain. And I will stand by you forever. You can take my breath away. You can take my breath away. I can be your hero. Whos on next???

Cate in NZ
Would it be possible for me to order a cup of tea? Tetley, Earl Grey or Redbush Egluntine Even served in a lovely chicken chine tea cup, I'll try very hard not to slop it into the saucer as I pass it over I've decided that I'm going to have to make my own summer, I don't think it's going to turn up this year if I sit and wait, and I'm not going to get another sumer until Dec 08, so I'd better make the very best of this year
Cate in NZ
Hehe Andy, we can have a Hero song contest Brace yourselves for my best Bonnie Tyler impression, *gravelly Welsh accent limbering up* "Where have all the good men gone And where are all the gods? Where’s the street-wise Hercules To fight the rising odds? Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need I need a hero I'm holding out for at hero 'till the end of the night He's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fight I need a hero I’m holding out for a hero 'till the morning light He’s gotta be sure And it’s gotta be soon And he’s gotta be larger than life Larger than life............" Oh, boy, that brings back my misspent youth

Karl...tell Andy that was sung beautifully! I'll just press a button on the jukebox while he rests his voice.... ..oh dear, what have I pressed? PS. Cheers Debbie! Was that Grandad who sent the beer barrel over earlier in the week? How kind. It's settled now if anyone wants to start on that....
