Clucking_Mad Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 You may have seen a post from me around 2 - 3 wks ago saying bye to Phyllis, well this post is saying bye to my lovely Black Rock Vera. On Tuesday let her out in the morning and she was fine her normal self so I went to work. When I came home she was huddled in a corner with a really mucky bottom so I brought her indoors straight away to check her over and she was all swollen underneath just like Phyllis was. I called the vets straight away who said bring her down now but I knew on journey there that I would be saying goodnight to my little girl for the last time. Sure enough I was right she too also had peritonitis, we are devastated to lose two of our little girls in such a short space of time. The vet explained that we did nothing wrong and there was nothing we could have done to prevent this but it still doesn't change the fact that they are gone. So this message goes out to my little Vera who loved to dig in the garden and cover everyone and everything around her in mud, your with your best friend Phyllis and you both will always be loved and missed. xxxxx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
