Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Our local feed shop has started stocking Copdock Mills Layers' pellets with Vermex included, which they say can be fed every day. Has anyone tried this product and, if so, how did you get on? It seems like a good idea if the product is good!

I haven't tried it but basically Vermex is a food additative (all natural) so you could, in theory, add it to anything. Vermex itslef comes with a handy measuring spoon. So all in all, especially if this is more expensive, I'd have thought pellets pre-mixed with Vermex was a bit of a con It would not be like Marriages food pellets with added Flubenvet where there is a set dose that is made easier to get right and administer by it being pre-mixed. On its own the dosage of Flubenvet can be a bit hard to work out.

Actually, it's not much more expensive - which made me wonder more about the quality of the feed. Has anybody used Copdock Mills Feed before and is it ok?

The difference between these two products is that Flubenvet is a licensed wormer, used quarterly. Verm-X isn't a wormer, just a sort of herbal gut conditioner.

 

Pellets can be bought with all sorts of additives; I prefer to buy them 'straight' (except when worming) so that I can add what I want if necessary.

Hi, I use marriages pellets with flubenvent added. Find it's the easiest way, and as a previous poster said it is actually a wormer

I do worm with Fluvenvet as Vermex isn't a wormer, but i understand it's a good conditioner?

I've only ever used vermex so I was thinking of trying this next time I buy feed. It seems like a good idea.
