sparkysmum
Bit of a long shot here but was wondering if anyone has done LLoret de Mar to Barcelona recently. Must take in both Sagrada de familia and Barcelona Stadium. The lovely Hazie and I are having a few days in Spain (Sunday to Wednesday) and thought we would have a day in Barcelona. Being a footie mad girl she will have to see the stadium and I would love to see the Sagrada familia. . However funds are limited and public transport is a must. Would love to hear from you if you can suggest routes / advice. Axx
Patricia W
I haven't done that particular journey but we go to that area every year (only a bit further north near Figueras)and have done for the last 25+ years. In our experience, public transport is very accessible, clean, reasonably priced and very good. Taxis are relatively cheap as well.

Lavenders_Blue
Have a whale of a time! I've been away with my mum for several city breaks abroad and we always have a great time - inevitably something bizarre, dramatic or downright hilarious happens to us. We have so many great memories of our little jaunts to the continent.
sparkysmum
Had a great time, fab weather, clean hotel and despite our incredibly tight budget we even manged to eat. Didn't do Sagradda Familia but Hazie got her trip to Barcelona Stadium. What a place But the overriding thing was that I had a lovely time with my daughter No teenage cheekiness or huffiness, just a real good time. This is not a reflection on my sons, but they are away so weren't in a position to come. Oh and can recommend Helen Fielding's " Bridget Jones Mad about the Boy" as a super quick, light read. Laugh out loud in some places but a bit "samey" in others. Axx
