Redwing
I was bidding on something on ebay and 'won' it but it didnt reach the reserve Am I right in thinking thats the end of it, I dont pay and I can move on and bid on an alternative? Or is there some sort of process where the the seller decides whether to accept my final bid and contact me so I have to wait for that? Any help appreciated
jimnpaula
The seller has the option to accept your bid as it was the highest, or decline as the item didn't reach the reserve. You can always contact the seller via ebay and see what they say. Paula
Chucky Mama
As far as I am aware there is nothing binding and you can move on.
soapdragon
I think that this is like an ordinary auction whereby, if the item does not reach the reserve, it is deemed unsold. However, if you still want it, it may be worth contacting the seller to see what they say? The new listing format on E bay can re list automatically (should the seller choose that option when listing) so you may want to check if it has been relisted then you can look at other similar things. Cinnamon
As others have said, there is nothing binding about your bid & you can move on. Good luck in finding another item
Chickabee
Yep , no binding contract there. They might come back to you though if you were the highest bidder, or you can look to see if they've re-listed it
