Single hen

yesterday I had 4 eggs instead of the usual 3 [one each from each girl] . This is quite a surprise as I have been having soft eggs for a few days from one of them but now someone has laid 2 in a day!

How many eggs per day from your chickens do you all get?

We have only had 1 a day from ours......Wow a 4 egg day with 3 hens

I've had 9 eggs from 8 hens twice.

 

It is puzzling.

Yesterday we had three eggs in the morning.

 

Then about 6pm Rae laid a shell less egg.

 

So today I thought we would have two eggs, but to my surprise when I went in the nesting box this morning there was three.

 

Although one was a little small and wrinkly!!

 

Must have been the rest of last nights one.

I have had 2 eggs in one day from one hen too.
