Luvachicken
Hubby kindly fixed on the new roof at the weekend and used some silicon glue. I've just given Queenie her bath and noticed that one of her feet has a silicon ball of grass stuck to it. I've managed to pull it off but the top of her toe is still sticky. Please can someone tell me how to get it off her and the others if they have the same. Thank you so much
sjp
silicone sealant will wear of in a week or two at most with her scratching about and preening. once it's dry there's no other way to remove it from skin and certainly none I'd try on a chicken. I've used silicone for over 25 years and have from time to time ended up wearing it. It comes of skin but not cloths
Luvachicken
Thank you sjp. So you wouldn't recommend 'Sticky Stuff Remover' or surgical spirit then ? I think I got most of it off with grass that was attached to it but as I said the top of her toe is still sticky.
Charlottechicken
I think I'd be inclined to leave it until it wears off as SJP has said. If I had it on my own hand or foot I'd be willing to try different things to remove it but not on an animal.

'Sticky Stuff Remover' I've never heard off. the only thing on the market is silicone eater but you don't want that on your skin plus it takes at least 30 mins to start to work far safer to let nature and sharp little becks do the job
Luvachicken
This is the sticky stuff. It certainly worked on my fingers. http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/19-4051?gclid=CImKr6egk78CFXPKtAod0Q0AvA#moreinfo I will leave Queenie and hope the dry dirt will scrub it off. None of the others found any fortunately. I just hope she didn't eat any of it.
