Solving Omlet Smart Auto Door Timing Issues with Alexa Routines

Just been out to block off the nest boxes to prevent pooey eggs, only to found that sleeping arrangements have changed!

My red cube normally sleeps my Growers now 20 wks, 2 x Legbars, 2 x Vorwerks, 1 laced wyandotte bantam Cockerel and a supposed black wyandotte bantam.

The green cube has been used by the old girls 9 in total, including 3 x Very large Sussex, it seemed pretty full!

The go up was chosen by a Pekin, Sablepoot, wyandotte bantam and her trusty sidekick a lemon Orpington bantam (so inseperable that she even goes into the nest box with her).

 

They can access all of the coops from their WIR.

 

Tonight :1 tiny Pekin in the green cube, the go up the trusty two, but the red cube was packed solid with 15 (including some xl girls!).

The Pekin in question is a little terror, she rules the roost and even terrorises our cat, who I have had to rescue several times. I suspect she has forced the rest out! I did however slip her in the go up, much to her and the occupants disgust!

The most I have had in a cube is 7 hybrids and they had loads of room.

I think my cube has had 13 biggirls whilst the classic squeezed 7 LF including the hoomungus Sunday R (Orp cockerel).

Haha that made me laugh!! I've got 9 girls in mine but they all snuggle up and there still seems to be plenty of room. In the winter they all cram into the nesting bit. The ones on the bottom must get boiling hot. They are funny little things.
