Solitary chicken - need advice

Bought the classic run extension kit A after many weeks of waiting for it to be in stock, and now it's arrived I haven't got a clue how to put it on! The kit we've been given looks nothing like the one on the instructions that you download from the website....

 

Any ideas? Or am I going to have to wait until Monday for someone to answer the phone at Omlet?

Looong time since I put one on but I think you just take the door end off, then fit the extension on the end. The new bit of the run kind of levels out rather than widening like the existing bit, so from memory, the tricky bit is working out which side to put on where! Persevere, it does suddenly become clear if you try putting each bit in place to see if it works .

The things that were in the box look nothing like what's https://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/chicken_keeping/eglu_runs/185/eglu_classic_run_extension_kit_a/ here. We've got two curved bits, two right angle bits that look like they'll go flat on the ground and two flat (angled) bits that look like they'll go on the ground, plus two right angle wire bits.... The curved bits I was expecting to have a skirt attached to them but don't and the extra bits don't look like they'd fit the curved bit!

 

The box however says Classic Run extension kit A....

 

Really disappointed as was hoping to give the girls some more space for Christmas!

Sounds like that could be a Go extension. Have a look at the instructions for that and see if that's what you've got - not that that'll really help you

Like ANH it is a long time since I put one together.

 

Can you put together the two large curved run pieces and see if it will fit onto the run. I do remember when we first did it thinking that it will never fit but it did.

 

Are you able to photograph the pieces we may be more helpful then.

just spoken to them, they've asked for a photo too. But are going to email me new instructions as supposedly the kit has changed shape....

It's up. They sent me an email with the new instructions, but today has been the first time we've had time whilst the girls were still in the to get the extension up. Probably more fiddly than the old design as there's more pieces to put together, but we got there in the end!

That's good! I was puzzled when you said there wasn't a skirt on the curved bits .

I received my kit A on Friday and attempted to put it together this morning, but I had the same issue. It looked nothing like it's advertised on the website. Also a bit concerned that all the skirting clips on and isn't attached as I was expecting. Assuming that I have the same as you and that its a new design.

If you still have the emailed instructions, would you mind sending them to me as I can't contact omlet today.
