Janepie33
Have just written my Christmas cards and need to pop out and get some stamps. Just checked the price of 2nd class stamps online and 53p seems rather steep, especially as I have 25 cards to post. I can see why people send e cards! Beantree
€0.20 in France, so it is a ripoff Janiepie33. That's just 15p. Too many shareholders to payoff I think?
Cat tails
Sending a card within the Netherlands costs you €0,64 which is about 51p. We have special Christmas stamps though which are slightly cheaper. Still think it's a lot. Only a few years ago a stamp was only €0,34... soapdragon
I only send cards to old friends that we haven't seen for a while and always write a few lines to catch up. Still, this year have over 25 to send plus three smallish parcels (hoping they will fit through the slot to be large letters but may be small parcels at £2.80!!) All in all expect to pay around £15.00! Just for posting let alone the cost of cards/gifts/padded envelopes. Money is so tight at this time of year it would be nice for the Royal Mail to introduce slightly cheaper Christmas stamps. As a certain retailer says....'every little helps'
Cat tails
Christmas stamps are "only" €0,59. But when sending loads of cards, it does save some money.
percy049
I've only posted around 10 christmas cards due to the stamps being so expensive!
