Lewis
I see Omlet are advertising 50% off Mk1 Cube run extensions, for Cube's purchased before today (17th Feb 2015). Does anyone know the difference between the Mk1 and Mk2 Cubes? Be interesting to know what they have changed...
Bramble
The new mark 2 extension is also listed on the website and says it's compatible with ALL Cubes - it looks as though it's the skirt part that's different? The old one at £50 is a bit of a bargain, I might have accidentally ordered one
chuckmum6
Yes, I was wondering what a mk 2 has, it only seems like the run has rounded corners. Although there must be some difference as the mk2 only fits the rounded run? I would be interested to see what they can improve in the cube, I think they are fab, although both mine get wet under the trays (including the one Omlet built). chestnutmare
The skirting of the new run is detachable. The cubes are not changing.
Chicken shack
If it's only the skirt that's different I can't see why they wouldn't be compatable. I bought another door panel, removed a side panel, turned the new door panel upside down so the rounded top of the panel became the skirt. With me so far? the new door panel is slightly wider than the side panel so overlaps. I used cable ties to attach it. So even though it wasn't complety comparable it works. I now have a side run door.
The Dogmother
I'm sure they changed the roof and drainage channels slightly a few years back, but I might be mis-remembering.
chuckmum6
They attach the extreme weather to new cubes, just rubber flaps and seals, the drainage looks the same (I think) on my old 6yr old cube and my new cube. I could be wrong though, they both still get wet under the trays though (put that down to the rain blowing in).
