Have watched this series from the 50's but this latest episode from the 80' s is really bringing back memories! The music, especially, is evoking the mood! The advent of the microwave, penguin bars, pre packed sandwiches, video recorders, soda streams, big hair...oh happy days

 

And did we really have that wall paper Fascinating!!!!

I've spent much of the series exclaiming "My mum had that chopping board!" Or "My grandma used to do that!" Depending on the era being covered. I've not seen tonight's episode yet but I imagine I'll be cringing and thinking "I used to have that jumper. What was I thinking?!"

We have watched & really enjoyed them all too.....I love Giles Coren in everything he does

We remember so many of the bits & pieces from the kitchen, as the food, its really entertaining seeing it all back as it used to be.

I like the family too, although the 'Mum' has a really unfortunate unhappy looking face

Shes not very good with the tin opener - I had to look away as I was sure we'd have a cut finger or 10. I love the fashions - big hair - lovely - i love big hair and the music and the blue mascara. Memories

I loved the clothes of the girls. Some of that stuff, I have worn as a kid. They were hand me downs from my slightly older aunts.

Interestingly enough I see my students wearing similar things these days!
