Facebook Question

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've recently joined a few more Fb groups and am now getting far too many email notifications (of replies to posts etc.).

Under Notifications Settings

it says "To turn off a specific email notification, just click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email."

BUT I can't see an unsubscribe link in the email.

I basically want to NOT receive email notifications for some groups but not all groups - any ideas please ?

H

I think you will need to go into your settings on Facebook and change the email notification settings there. You can also go on each group, and where it says liked you can click and you can unfollow. Next to the liked tab there is another one which I think is where you can decide what notifications you want whilst on Facebook.

I never get emails from Facebook as I'm in loads of groups and my inbox would be full!

If you go into Settings > Notifications there is an Email option, I have it set to Only important notifications.

I get notifications on Facebook for a few groups but most I've set to receive no notifications.

Facebook is quite clever in that they'll show posts in your newsfeed from groups you are most active in.

You can change the setting for each Group so you can do different things in each one.

These instructions are for a PC/laptop, it may be a little different if you are accessing Facebook on a phone or tablet.

1, Go into the Facebook Group you want to do settings for

2. In the header, you should see some buttons, one of which will be NOTIFICATIONS. Click on the tick beside this and a drop down will appear so you can see what current setting you have.

3. Select the setting you want, and that's it.
