She was called Henny Penny and I say she taught me everything I needed to know about keeping chickens. The Pepperpot I had was quite friendly and had lovely colouring when the sun shone on her. Not to sure whether that's normal or not. Hybrids like these will usually lay solidly for around 2-2.5 years, then gradually lay less, but larger eggs. All are different though and some will stop laying sooner, others will stop suddenly rather than tailing off. Much like human females really.
