What's the difference of pepperpot and gingernut? Behaviour, personalities etc

Very little. They are both good layers and tend not to be skittish or flighty.

My Gingernut was the friendliest chook I have ever had. She was called Henny Penny and I say she taught me everything I needed to know about keeping chickens.

 

The Pepperpot I had was quite friendly and had lovely colouring when the sun shone on her.

We had one of each with our Eglu. Lovely birds, regular layers. However, both stopped laying after 18-20 months. Not to sure whether that's normal or not.

Hybrids like these will usually lay solidly for around 2-2.5 years, then gradually lay less, but larger eggs. All are different though and some will stop laying sooner, others will stop suddenly rather than tailing off. Much like human females really.
