Mortifying moments

Recommended Posts

My ES and I were on a train when he was about 3. He'd never been on a train before so all was a big adventure and new for him. He was full of questions...when the black ticket collector came round ( we lived in a very 'Anglo Saxon' area so it was the first time that he had seen a black person) he stared. I knew something priceless was coming but was powerless to do anything :o .

ES looked very hard at the ticket collector who grinned back. ES then announced (in a voice that could be heard several miles away) 'You've got a very dirty face, havn't you'

I sat absolutely cringing but the wonderful ticket collector gave a huge laugh and said 'Don' worry mon, I'll wash whin ah git home'...he winked at me and I beamed at him with tears in my eyes .......bless that LOVELY man; I will remember him always 8)

Dont know if this will get editted out but it is priceless.

My nephew was young enough to be in nursery school and they were discussing what they had done that weekend. Nephew pipes up, mummy daddy and me went to bed and watched a film. We had cock porn :oops: luckily social services were not hastily called and the nursery worker realised he meant popcorn

Soapdragon what a lovely man. Great story

Had one today - went into Outfit in Borehamwood and my foot slid from under me and I landed in a heap on the floor at an angle - said very loudly "S :shh::shh::shh: " A nice lady helped me up and asked if I was ok - I thanked her and said my back which is always bad hurt but otherwise fine. I finished shopping and exited gracefully on both feet. I hope I wont end up on You tube on "how not to enter a shop"
