Sarah 2
Well I'm slightly confused. I thought my girls had their pecking order sorted. But it seems that since we made them a run at the weekend Toffee's getting bullied, she gets pushed out of the eglu at night, chased and shouted at in the day. Why? Any ideas? I almost cried last night when they wouldn't let her in the eglu. My DH thought I was ridiculous. They still have free range of the garden at the moment, because we didn't have time to make the gate for the run. Once the gates up I'm nervous to keep them in the run incase Toffee gets picked on even more.
theherd123
That does sound a little odd if they have been getting on really well until now How long have you had your girls Sarah? You could try spraying Toffee with anti-peck spray as a first measure
Sarah 2
I've had Toffee since the end of June. It tends to be Daisy that picks on her the most, we got her a week after Toffee. Toffee has always seemed to be at the bottom of the pecking order. I know at the beginning they didn't get on but it seemed to sort itself out. Even my DH has had to shoot the water pistol at Daisy to give Toffee a break. She's chased more than pecked because the garden is big enough for her to get away. I thought a lot of perches might help in the run so Toffee can get away from trouble.
Guest
Perches are a good idea - and popping Toffee in with others after they have gone to roost.
