Burdock
Looking after my friend's girls and their Eglu Go (my friends pride and joy!) I left a clear plastic bag on the top (an empty mealworm packet) then it rained heavily and I didn't move it for a day... And now there is a white mark which won't wipe off Omlet are thinking of suggestions but just wondered if anyone had any suggestions before my friend becomes an ex friend when she gets back from her hols ! Cat tails
I it was my Go, I would try my high pressure cleaner. Apparently you can also use a steam cleaner on your Eglu (as the representative in the Netherlands does), but haven't tried that myself and it might just melt the plastic more. Luvachicken
Not much help but we had a paddling pool that reacted on the edges because we left the rubber rings on the top. Must be some kind of reaction to the sun with the different plastics on it. Have you tried Flash or other non scratchy liquid ? If she is a good friend then I'm sure she would forgive you if it is marked, especially as you were doing her a favour and gave the chickens a treat. You weren't to know what happened was going to happen.
Burdock
It definitely looks like its inside the plastic (if that makes sense!) she saved for ages to get this ..feel really bad Tried Fairy and some bathroom cleaner and polish ...wondered if Nail Varnish Remover or similar might do it ? Will try a pressure washer if I can borrow one from someone Could with buying a new roof if all else fails I might get some funky vinyl stickers from Halfords as a suggestion that she could cover it with those Thanks for your suggestions x
Cat tails
I wouldn't use nail polish remover or anything else designed to disolve plastic. The Go is plastic as well and you might make things worse. I really would give the pressure washer a go. Here in the Netherlands diy stores also rent them out.
Burdock
Didn't think of hiring one ..I'll have a look ... thank you
The Dogmother
The Go is a totally different plastic from the eglu Classic and cube, I doubt that a pressure washer will get the stain off as it will have leached into the plastic (another reason that I don't like the Go ) I understand that the panels are replaceable, so I would suggest contacting Omlet t see whether they can supply you with one. Cat tails
I have pressure washed my Go before and got quite some gunk off. I think it is the same plastic, only different production method. If the pressure washer doesn't work, he can always contact Omlet.
mullethunter
Having now had a Go and a Cube I don't think it is the same plastic. The stuff on the Cube seems to go brittle after a few years in the weather whereas the Cube doesn't.
