CatieB
I have just spent a silly amount on a food processor so need to justify its existence. Any recipes great fully received, particularly healthy ones as I am mid doing weigh"Ooops, word censored!"chers (13 pounds lost so far) I have done coleslaw (a good low fat recipe is needed), beetroot crisps, chicken burgers with Thai flavourings which were lovely. Any other ideas?
Olly
What sort did you buy? Afraid I only use mine these days for coleslaw and grating cheese. I don't use a recipe for coleslaw, just slice whatever suitable veg I have in the fridge (a bit of fennel is nice as well as the usual cabbage, carrot and onion) and then add either yoghurt or mayo depending on my mood. mullethunter
Not healthy but I always make my pastry in the food processor. In fact that's the only thing I use it for.
CatieB
What sort did you buy? . Sage, the Heston one, not because its him but because of the reviews and as I wanted to make beetroot crisps so wanted a thin slicer. I can atest to how sharp it is as I now have a sliced thumb right at the tip from washing up!
ubereglu
I usually make soup with mine, using the blending attachment, but have also made a variation on houmous. I mostly bought it so I could chop things and still cook independently having fractured my hand earlier in the year.
kopperdrake
Ooh - one thing we used the blender option for, if it has a blender, is Pear Houmous - it was gorgeous! Recipe is here http://www.merrybower.co.uk/blog/?page_id=1805
