Valkyrie
I had to suggest a lady squint to see the Nelson Mandela quilt. Very clever indeed. I'm with you in regard to the not so inspiring. Perhaps next year. It did seem to be the year of the hexies and log cabins. I'm wondering if that quilt that won last year with all the log cabins and pineapples etc set that ball rolling. Plum
Can't promise anything but hope the pics don't look enormous. This quilt is amazing. Not for traditionalists but I love it Just look at the beautiful quilting This quilt is so tranquil but delicious Into cycling at the moment so this one is a favourite. I don't carry flowers on my bike just weeds in the spokes This quilt was stunning. A lot of the featured bling and sparkly bits and wow had to show you this one it's so quirky. That's all but if you google Festival of Quilts you'll see the amazing winners. I should have taken some pics of the traders to make you drool
Plum
Actually there's one more but I won't show it yet. I've been making a 1/2 size block of the month in 2015 by Lynette Anderson, I'll finish sometime soon. There was a completed full size version at the show so I'll post them together....................

Plum
If i'do known I'd have taken pics of the ones with baggy edges and old ladies fabric for you I know what you mean though so you need to see the ones that are brilliant but you think I can do that as well as the gobsmacking ones. I actually like the ones on traders stalls for inspiration.
Valkyrie
There are some lovely quilts on the traders stalls! I took a photo of the parrot one too! Must get mine loaded onto the laptop - I think my connector ended up in the car!!! Sometimes the quilts look better from a distance and those photos show it - the house and garden is lovely.
