Dug up a body today and gave myself a start trying to locate the spuds I'd planted - failure not a good year for spuds ( for me anyway) when I spotted something bright orange on the spade. It was like a spooky film where you dig up an efigy of someone. It was a very muddy Tweenie No idea how it got there. its not one of my childrens - I suspect our old neighbours grandchild chucked it over.

Crikey Ali's Girls...this was beginning to sound like a spooky episode of Time Team! However, as a first we did dig up an old corroded buckle when we first moved in and got 'into' gardening. We live in Chalgrove... the site of an English Civil War skirmish (in which John Hampden was fatally injured, for those who are into their history!) and wonder if it was from a Civil War horse

 

Havn't come across anything else historical though!

Went to a bigger music festival this weekend so not a first, but camped with OH, 3 nights away alone for the first time since we had our first child nearly 23 years ago. very chilled weekend and saw quite a few artists and bands for the first time, mainly 70's & 80's ones that we grew up listening to
