Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Vicky the Brahma is broody, or so she thinks. She's in the cube and it's really hard to get her out of that hole at the side without getting battered by her wings. Anyway once I've got her we have a big cuddle and a walk around the garden and I pop her back in the run. She then remembers there's something much more important than having babies, FOOD. And that's it for another day . I've got 3 other Broodies at the moment, goodness knows what I'm going to do when they start laying. I already average 12 eggs a day and have just got 2 new pullets

My Brahma used to get really broody too. I used to put her in the sin bin for a few days, usually sorted her

I had Polly in the broody cage the other week and now I have Gemma in it this week.

Gemma also gets a tour of the garden and gets to sit on my lap on my swing seat (my favourite place to be) before being placed in the cage.

Funny how they get so floppy.

My first experience with a Brahma, she is really soppy. The bantams are really stroppy. They keep beating up the ducks, and they are huge

Are they small ducks or do you have big Pekins ?

They're huge, one is a Saxony and one is a tufted. They're scared of basically everything. Very entertaining though.

My Brahma was a beautiful girl. She was nearly 8 and still laid quite frequently

She's in the sin bin, she looks so unhappy. I've never used a broody cage before, although I've always had one ready. Hopefully 3 days and nights will do the job
