Luvachicken
I wasn't sure where to post this, so thought I'd settle for here I'm not as hot on butterflies as I am on birds. Today a pretty big orange butterfly with brown spots came in the house. I managed to catch it and set it free but I don't know what butterfly it was. I think it could have been a Painted Lady but don't have a decent butterfly book to look at. I was hoping my Omlet friends could suggest a book for me that has photos rather than drawings. I had a quick look on Amazon but would like your advice first before I order anything Many thanks xx
Cat tails
I do have some books on birds and other animals, but more often revert to online databases. This one seems quite good.
Grandmashazzie
Luvachicken I am becoming entrapped by my iPad. Now if there's something I don't know I googl it. I googled orange butterfly and up came lovely photos descriptions etc. I do prefer to read novels in book form but for info the web is hard to beat. Luvachicken
Thanks both Cat tails, I've just used your page and what I saw was not a Painted Lady - so I have learnt something already. I think it is one of those Fritillary ones but not sure which one. Just going to google as Grandmashazzie has suggested.
