fgt
Has anyone had experience of using cubes or the like on hard standing? I have an urban back yard and as such have no grass only concrete and decking. I was thinking of locating a cube on concrete but with wood chip/bark as the base. Looking forward to some input. David. Egluntyne
Should be fine. My Eglus are on paving slabs, topped with Aubiose. Dead easy to clean with a jet wash. I can't see that it would be different for a cube....as long as you have room to move it a bit when cleaning. Oh....and you would need to weigh the "skirt" down with rocks or similar if you have foxes, to stop them trying to get under....although they won't be able to dig obviously. fgt
Thanks for that! Now to negotiate with the Home Office to see if she will let me have them.
craftyhunnypie
Hiya - my cube & eglu are on crazy paving & it's fine! most of the paving is concreted in the cracks, but the girls love digging for worms in the cracks that aren't cemented! I use aubiose or easy bed - really easy to s"Ooops, word censored!"e out. It's good for slooshing with water & Milton too, as it drains easy. I do peg down the skirt with tent pegs in the cracks too. Don't worry, your girls will be fine, so long as they have something they can scratch about in & roll over in - they will love it.
