Guest
tho the news says we have rejected chelsea's bid for anelka...... rumours are that we have accepted a third bid plus a player in return..... and anelka has caught the bus to london to discuss personal terms... no idea who said make-weight player might be... (drogba??? ) but i (for one) wish Chelsea would keep their hands off our best players.... Gudjohnssen, Ben haim, now anelka..... poo!!!!

Martin B
My godfather was offered the position of English Teacher to Liverpool's foreign players. Some months he would be earning lots more than he currently did but some months he would be s"Ooops, word censored!"ing around on tuppence. It didn't make sense for him in the end so he carried on as a normal teacher at his school. There were lots of incentives but head had to rule heart. Good luck though Helen! chelsea
thought the ref was truly rubbish tonight. I have full respect for Everton (they are a good hardworking team with a decent manager ) so it isnt sour grapes. I dont think it was a sending off for mikel, he didnt touch the player. Phil neville brings down malouda on the wing near the box and he's on a yellow, me and the commentators thought he deserved a yellow card and should have been having an early bath also Mcfadden kicks out at a player (cant remember who - carvalho? ferreria?) ref surely see's it and does nothing but I can smile after a stressful day as the shortest smallest player on the pitch gets the winning header - hurrah
Gooner Boy
Fancy Everton's chances in the return leg to be honest - they're a good side at Goodison Park and Chelsea are missing a lot of players. Didn't see any of the game so can't comment on the ref!
chelsea
I dont think it will be easy at goodison, they are a strong tall side (very good at set plays). But last night we won with 10 men so I think we will just about edge it

gooner.girl
Whew! - what a match last night was! And what a nightmare journey home we had (didn't get to bed til well gone 1am *yawn!) Ended up getting a taxi accross central London part of the way cos the tube trains were so rubbish - i saw Buckingham Palace at night (the lights were off - Her Maj. had obviously had an early night...) Met some nice chatty gooners on the train home though! To be fair after being amazing the 1st half hour we were pretty rubbish the rest of the game and a draw was probably a fair result. (Thanks for the 'oh so encouraging' texts Martin! ) So looks like we have a lot of hard work to do in the 2nd leg if we want to meet Everton in the final... Come on "Ooops, word censored!"nal reserves!
