Peter Posted November 20, 2019 Share Posted November 20, 2019 The other night it was -6 degrees bu the ladies water was not frozen as about 6 weeks ago I asked some one on the forum how to keep unfrozen water for my ladies, they were kind enough to inform me that there are heater plates I can purchase on line. I looked and they are to expensive as if I start spending money then I would not be rich.So I decided to make a heater box out of an old sweat tin,some insulation from my son and a energy efficient light bulb, wire and thermostat I had in the garage. I was so disappointed that I had to purchase a light fitting £3-00. I put it on the lawn to see what the chicken would think of it. after some time investigating it they give it the thumbs up of approval.
