I think we need some Spring now - it is sunnier today, not raining, but that wind has turned to the North.

I have got the egg wreath out to put in the front window with some potted up Muscari from the back garden. The Dicentra (Bleeding Heart) is in bloom outside the back door too.

The birds are nesting and David Hockney has done this. It’s called ‘Remember, they haven’t cancelled Spring’

Did he paint it specially for CV?  Its lovely whatever the reason.  I don't feel very spring like today, we have grey wet cold after weeks of warmth and sun.  However, I love that wreath with the guinea fowl feathers, its very beautiful, and timeless somehow, my Mum has always made a fuss of Easter for us, involving nests and eggies, even though we are now far too old!  I have been going outside a lot before today and just wallowing in the colour, and the emerging flowers, its good for the soul.

Yes, he painted it specially. Actually, it may be digital. Whatever the medium it lifts the spirits.  And we need this now.   I was out gardening today, and felt such relief to be out in the fresh air.

Lovely spring day here too and out putting in some lupins and poppies to make a cottage house border. No more garden centre visits so have ordered a few plants online. Also got a few salad stuff planted in cold frame, this is a first for me so will see how they do.
