It's not uncommon to find a crawlbot in every section and sometimes we'll have a Googlebot and some other search engine crawlbot here at the same time. Mrs Frugal Posted October 3, 2007 Share Posted October 3, 2007 No, it's not exciting at all . As site admin, I can see the IP addresses of everyone using the forum - guests and registered members. If I spot the same IP on several sections at once, it's usually a crawlbot and if I look up the IP address, it says "Googlebot". I imagine him as a spider with a lot of notebooks and pens, frantically making notes on what everyone's saying here so he can report back to Google and post links to us . Edit - cross posted Clare!
