Chikens200051
My chickens leg has been dislocated or something for awhile, I’m not sure what to do. (Not sure how to post pictures via mobile so join this groupme for pictures)
Cat tails
Uploading pictures is quite easy from a mobile. Please try and upload a picture and in case of a serious injury and a disabled chicken, please contact a vet. Maybe you can tell a bit more about her symptoms and how you think it happened. soapdragon
A dislocated leg sounds as though she needs a vet pretty quickly?
Chikens200051
(Accidentally made a second forum, just ignore that one) Is there anything I can do other than the vet? I feel like they wouldn’t do anything.
Cat tails
That really doesn’t look good and looks very painful. You really should contact a vet as soon as possible. If she can’t stand properly, she can’t get herself to get food or water either. If the vet can’t help, at least they can do the kindest thing and end suffering. mullethunter
You have to find a decent avian vet and take her as soon as you can. Whether that’s a break, a dislocation or a slipped tendon, whatever it is that’s definitely not something you could humanely deal with yourself. soapdragon
Yes, def vet. She could well be in pain or distress. Also, if she is weak or showing signs of weakness there is the possibility that one or more of your others start to 'pick' on her. This happened to a friend in the village; her dominant girl turned on the injured bird and the pecking from the bullying was worse than the original injury. Beantree
Could be a bite and could be her leg got stuck somewhere but either way an urgent trip to the vet. Certainly not a condition than can be left untreated.
