Cinnamon
Did anyone else catch this last night, the follow up to one of my all time most favourite shows 'Long Way Round'? Good wasn't it? This time they are travelling from Scotland to Cape Town on their big old Beemers Fancy Ewan (yes, I do actually.....) breaking his ankle a few weeks before set off. And poor Charley was visibly uncomfortable about Ewans wife joining them for part of the journey. I am so glad that Claudio the mad cameraman is till with them too. It all looks bodes well for another cracking series
bronze
Yes I loved it I was shouting at Ewans wife though as I thought she was being very annoying and selfish. I'm so looking forward to this and reminded me I leant the book of ...round to a friend who I no longer see. Wasn't Ewan looking exceptionally yummy this time? Cinnamon
He was, wasn't he? Loved the bit when they were ambushed in training,& Charley made a run for it,hiding behind a tree - classic stuff
Laura & CTB
I was shouting at Ewans wife though as I thought she was being very annoying and selfish. I was too! How can she think that going wasn't going to make Charley feel uncomfortable? I know what CTB would say if I suggested I went canoeing with him and his buddies
feemcg
Where was it on last night? - I saw it on Sunday. I must have missed the bit with Ewan's wife too, don't remember seeing that bit. Ewan is very, very scrummy isn't he - must be a family trait, we're all good looking with that surname
chickencam
Ewan is very lovely, his parents were so nice. I can see why his wife would want to go with him, but I think she should arrange a trip for just the two of them, Charlie wasn't happy with the situation what about his family? Having said that I didn't really take to Charlie I do get the feeling that he is a bit petulent.
Cinnamon
I like Charley, although he does seem like a bit of a big kid sometimes. But then again, thats men for you Fee, my mistake.I Sky+'d it on Sunday & watched it last night
chelsea
LOVE LOVE LOVE Ewan Mcgregor (phwoar!!! ) I never missed an episode of long way around and looks like this series is going to be just as good. He's so hunky and manly.....AND in bike leathers..... I didnt think his wife would look like that...she was very plain looking for a showbiz wife.... (maybe Im in with a shot eh?!! )
Tina C
More Long Way fans in this household. However I must be the only Charlie Boorman fan. I hate Ewan's tattoos.... Its a bit dim taking the wife on such a trip - she had never ridden a bike before and she expects to be able to go over that terrain! Madness. You could see that Charlie wanted to say no but was just too nice. However, the cynical side of me says it makes or more interesting TV - in a reality TV kind of way Should have just got her to do the last day. Looking forward to next week's episode. However OH (who rode to Goa via Turkey, Iran and Pakistan on his m'bike in 1999) will start to get wanderlust again I am sure.

Tina C
Its the mad (and blue) eyes that do it for me! And the wild expressions. OH took a photo of him signing the last book at the M/cycle show a few years ago. It used to sit in my office. Layla has stolen it and put it by her bed. She has been watching the DVD of the first trip and loves it (which is good as since the day she was born Mike has been telling her he is going to take her on the back of his m/bike to Morocco when she's older - I think she is just cottoning on to the fact that it will be a BIG adventure)

I can ride a motorbike but I will be taking the easy option and meeting them at their destination.
